1. SIPP experts
Pointon York has over 20 years’ experience administering self-invested personal pensions to professional advisers and their clients. We launched one of the first SIPPs to the market in 1990 and we now hold assets under administration worth £840 million. We remain an independent administrator with no conflict of interest.
2. No transfer in charge for cash transfers
We want to make sure there are no barriers to consolidating your clients’ pension plans and this is why there is no charge when customers transfer cash to The Pointon York SIPP.
3. IFA remuneration
We will pay RDR-compliant customer agreed remuneration (CAR) directly from the SIPP bank account every two weeks. Advisers can also elect to take service fees from any investment products bought by the SIPP.
4. Manage your account online
We want to make managing your client base as easy as possible, so we have designed our secure adviser portal to support you with new business quotes, online applications, online banking, valuations and up-to-date account activity*. We regularly update our portal with the latest legislation changes, and we provide access to a number of interactive features such as risk profiling and pension planning too.
5. Full range of solutions
Pointon York has a solution for everyone and all of our SIPPs are designed with the end customer in mind. From a low-cost e-SIPP to a sophisticated Family Trust SIPP, as an adviser you will have access to our full range of SIPPs; so upgrading your clients is as easy as an investment switch*, with no need to close a scheme or pay the normal transfer costs when moving to a new pension. 6. Fully flexible SIPP
Our heritage is built on our reputation for dealing with the complexities of administering a fully flexible Individual SIPP. Our Individual SIPP is a self-invested personal pension in its purest sense and allows access to the open market, with no restrictions to fund managers or investments. If an investment is allowable by HMRC and meets certain requirements then Pointon York will allow clients to hold it in their SIPP.
7. High Defaqto rating
We are proud that our Individual SIPP has consistently received a four-star rating from Defaqto and we believe that our strength lies in truly independent SIPP administration.
8. Duty of care
Our commitment to our customers is of paramount importance to us and we take our duty of care to our advisers and their clients very seriously. This is why on certain investments we undertake technical evaluations and carry out due diligence, and sometimes we have to say no to ensure the best interests of the end customer and their SIPP are maintained. As a responsible provider we feel that operating a Master Trust limits the level of risk and burden to the end member.
9. Specialist adviser support team and a dedicated point contact

*Not all of our online services are available for each product. For further information please speak to a SIPP support team on 01858 419300. Our Family Trust SIPP is a separate registered pension scheme and is established under a different set of Trust Deed and Rules, so if you want to upgrade your client to this product you will need to complete the relevant forms to set-up the SIPP.
